Children's Ministry (CM)

Who We Are
The National Children's Ministry (NCM) of the Papua New Guinea Church of God is the dedicated body responsible for nurturing, guiding, and discipling children within the church. Founded on the truth of God's Word and aligned with the vision of PNGCOG, the NCM exists to lay a strong spiritual foundation, foster a lifelong love for Jesus, and equip children to grow in faith and character across all 22 provinces of Papua New Guinea.

Our Mission

• To provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children can learn about God.
• To partner with families to disciple their children in the ways of the Lord.
• To train and equip teachers and volunteers for effective and creative children's ministry.
• To evangelize and reach out to the children of Papua New Guinea with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Structure
The NCM operates under the governance of the National Church Board and functions in harmony with the church's administrative levels:

• National Children's Ministry (NCM) – Led by the National Children's Council (NCC), which includes Provincial Children's Ministry Coordinators.
• Provincial Children's Ministries – Managed by Provincial Coordinators, overseeing children's work within each province.
• Local Children's Ministries – Run by dedicated teachers and volunteers at the local church level.

National Children's Council (NCC)
The NCC provides direction and support for the NCM and is composed of representatives from the provinces. The Executive Leadership Team includes:

• Director – Provides national leadership and represents the NCM.
• Assistant Director – Supports the Director and assists in coordination.
• Secretary – Maintains records, resources, and communication.
• Treasurer – Manages the ministry's budget and resources.
• Training Coordinator – Develops and facilitates training for teachers and volunteers.

Our Programs & Activities

The NCM is committed to the holistic development of every child through:

1. Sunday School & Bible Clubs
Engaging, age-appropriate lessons that teach biblical truths and help children apply them to their daily lives.

2. Vacation Bible School (VBS) & Camps
Energetic and immersive programs during school breaks that combine fun, fellowship, and deep spiritual learning.

3. Teacher & Volunteer Training
Workshops and resources to equip leaders with effective teaching methods, child development knowledge, and biblical understanding.

4. Children's Evangelism & Outreach
Programs designed to share the love of Jesus with children in the community through fun days, storytelling, and creative arts.

5. Resource Development
Creating and distributing culturally relevant, biblical teaching materials for use in churches across all provinces.

6. Family Integration Events
Organizing events that encourage parents and children to grow in faith together, strengthening the spiritual life of the entire family.
